Upon completion of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program at MIT Polytechnic and ITI College, graduates will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to:
> Demonstrate a strong foundation in the fundamental
principles of electrical and electronics engineering,
including circuit analysis, electromagnetic fields, and
signals and systems.
> Apply mathematical techniques and computational tools to
analyze and design electrical and electronics systems,
including power systems, control systems, and communication
systems.
> Design, simulate, and test electronic devices and circuits
using modern tools and techniques, such as computer-aided
design (CAD) software and laboratory equipment.
> Analyze and optimize power systems, including generation,
transmission, and distribution, to ensure efficient and
reliable delivery of electricity to consumers.
> Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components
for use in electrical and electronics systems, considering
factors such as performance, cost, and environmental
impact.
> Understand the ethical and social implications of
electrical and electronics engineering, and apply principles
of sustainable design and engineering to address global
challenges such as climate change and resource depletion.
> Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with
technical and non-technical audiences on topics related to
electrical and electronics engineering.
